ABOUT
The Connecticut Summer Opera Foundation (CSOF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization whose mission is to offer the world's most beautiful music to our communities, to advance the careers of conservatory-trained operatic vocalists, and to bring opera to young adults, exposing the next generation of concert-goers to the glorious operatic art form.

Founded in 2012, CSOF provides valuable performance experience to up-and-coming conservatory-trained singers.

Our inaugural CSOF event was a Farm-to-Table dinner and recital in September 2012  on the lovely grounds of Country Loft in Woodbury, CT. In August, 2013, CSOF collaborated with Connecticut Lyric Opera in bringing Metropolitan opera Tenor Carl Tanner and full orchestra to the Westover School in Middlebury, CT, for an evening of operatic favorites.

In December 2013, we were serenaded by a talented group of young vocalists and dancers at a Holiday show performed by the girls chorus, Sing-Out-CT!, and a local trio of angelic voices.

In 2014, we collaborated with Connecticut Lyric Opera (CLO) in their performance of Mozart's engaging The Magic Flute, again at the Westover School in Middlebury. Last summer, CLO captivated us again, this time with Mozart's sublime Cosi fan tutte at Town Hall in Woodbury.

Our 2016 opera production, Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice, with the Connecticut Virtuosi Institute and Festival Orchestra was spectacular !

Join us on Saturday October 7th at Town Hall Woodbury for our Fifth Anniversary Concert !
